4 simple steps to freedom care
1. Our Care Manager will take your details and arrange to visit you for a chat to assess your needs and to
produce a full Care Plan. If you would like a friend or relative to be there when our Manager visits, please do
not hesitate to invite them. At this meeting you will be asked to provide details regarding your Doctor, contact
numbers of relatives, details of any equipment used etc. This information will be kept securely under the
auspices of the Data Protection Act.
2. After meeting you and discussing your requirements, arrangements will be made and a Carer will be
chosen – one who has the relevant skills and the right personality for you. For example if you tell us you have
an interest in island news, we would choose a Carer who enjoys reading out loud the local papers and who
has a similar interest in Manx affairs.
3. This Carer will visit you on the agreed day and time. They will show you formal identification prior to
entering your home and will be dressed in our staff uniform. They will spend some time talking to you the first
time you meet to establish how you like things done. You will not be charged for this initial discussion time.
4. At the end of each session you will be asked to sign a timesheet to confirm everything has been done well
and to your satisfaction. Our Carers will update information regarding your needs and requirements and
general well being on a weekly basis enabling our Managers to have a complete picture of your on-going
requirements and to re-assess your needs if necessary.
